Nursery Help Needed!

Even though the pandemic made the past year very difficult, we were nonetheless able to chalk up some great successes. We had to cancel our 2020 Spring Plant Sale, but we managed to have our first-ever online plant sale in the fall of 2020, which was very successful. And this spring, last-minute scrambling allowed us to center our successful 2021 Online Spring Plant Sale at Shasta College, which eliminated the work of transporting plant orders to an off-site location, as we had to do for our 2020 Fall Plant Sale.

Despite the fact that we continued to have restricted access to Shasta College during the last propagation season (fall to winter), we managed to increase our plant inventory. This meant a lot more work for each propagation volunteer. Our propagators worked hard to get these plants started on their journey to their “forever” homes.

Now we need to schedule plant checkers for the summer months, and we need your help.

Fortunately, plant checks take little time; at the most, only spot watering will be needed. If you are interested in getting some fresh air and helping our plants make it through the summer by doing plant checks, then please email us at ShastaCNPSpropagation@gmail.com. We’d greatly appreciate your help, and so would the plants!

We have a diverse selection of healthy plants and, with your assistance, we will be able to look forward to a robust 2021 Fall Plant Sale. Thank you! -The Horticulture Team
