If you’ve ever joined one of our nature hikes, planted one of our homegrown native plants, or attended a presentation by one of our guest speakers, please consider donating to Shasta Chapter CNPS during this year’s North State Giving Tuesday event. Our organization is supported by passionate volunteers who are dedicated to native plant education, conservation, and appreciation. This is all made possible by their hard work and through your donations!
North State Giving Tuesday is a day set aside at the beginning of the holiday season to support local nonprofit organizations. You can give back this year by donating to Shasta CNPS at our site: www.northstategives.org/organization/ShastaCNPS and clicking the DONATE button!
Early Giving
Opens Tuesday, November 17
But! If you wait until “Giving Tuesday” on December 1st you can help Shasta CNPS earn more in donations with…
!Power Hours!
Several times throughout the day, a special Power Hour pool of $15,000 is set aside and up for grabs! The more a nonprofit raises in the designated Power Hour, the more they earn in free money from the Power Hour pool! Look for all donations to be stretched further during the 11 AM hour, the 3 PM hour, and the 7 PM hour!
Here’s how it works! During each one of the three power hours on December 1, $15,000 is available. All donors giving during those hours will earn extra dollars for their favorite nonprofits! At the end of the designated Power Hour, the amount raised by a participating nonprofit will be calculated against the total raised by all nonprofits in that hour to determine a percentage. That percentage will then be applied to the amount in the pool to determine the amount to be awarded from the Power Hour pool.
Thank you to all our past donors and to all our volunteers over the years. We look forward to providing more native plant education and appreciation in the future!
(We also accept donations through check and cash that contribute toward our “Giving Tuesday” fundraising total. If you have any questions or want to reach out, please email: renredlich@yahoo.com)
