Dear Members:
My mind is skipping forward a month, being taken up with preparations for events in April:

  • First, the Spring 2022 Native Plant Sale (see article, Spring 2022 Native Plant Sale, for details):
    • Members-only in-person sale, April 7
    • Public sale, April 8 and 9
    • Online sales, April 13 through 29
  • Then, in conjunction with Earth Day, Ken DeCamp’s lecture on wildflowers of the Swiss Alps, April 21, 7 PM. (Mark your calendars! Details TBA!)

I am excited about these events for different reasons… I love getting native California plants into the hands of gardeners, to help support wildlife and conserve water. I love both the online and in-person aspects of our sales nowadays. And I’m really looking forward to learning about Swiss wildflowers.

But don’t miss the glories of March… In the field locally, wildflowers are blooming already at Hog Lake and elsewhere. As always, get out to see our wonderful part of the world! ~Susan Libonati-Barnes, President
