Greetings friends!
With turkey day behind us and Christmas approaching, it’s a fun and busy time of the year! I hope you all get to spend quality time together with family and friends—time to spend warm evenings by the fire enjoying delicious food and drinks!

While we take the month of December off to enjoy the holidays (no meetings!), there is still plenty going on behind the scenes to report on. Here are some highlights:

  • We will be participating in the North State Giving Tuesday fundraiser! Please help spread the word!
  • We have a new Treasurer! A warm welcome to Chuck Dethero; and heartfelt thanks to our out-going Treasurer John Springer for his superb work. Thank you both!
  • We have two fun field trips scheduled: the Upper Sacramento Ditch Trail, and our traditional New Year’s Day hike! Don’t miss!
  • Finally, our new shed, located at the Shasta College farm, is in place—a huge milestone benefiting our propagation program!

Thank you, friends, for your support and participation, and happy holidays! We’ll see you in January, if we don’t see you on our December field trip!
