We finished off the first half of this successful year with a very well-attended annual picnic with our friends from Horsetown-Clear Creek Preserve! Thank you to everyone who helped make the event a success!  (Take a look at the fun slideshow of scenes from the pre-picnic field trip and from the picnic itself, at the end of this article—who do you recognize? We are looking to increase our membership, add a couple board members, and actively seek participation in our propagation program. I’ll be working closely with our propagation team this fall to increase stock for the plant sale. We’re hoping to engage with more volunteers, so if you’re interested in learning about native plant propagation, stay tuned for propagation events this fall!

With the hot summer months now upon us, it’s time to keep an eye on our plants and give them an occasional drink of water. Meetings will resume in the fall, but field trips continue! Stay cool and have a wonderful summer, my friends!
