Hello Friends!
It is finally starting to feel like summer. Temperatures are rising and we all feel the need to escape to higher elevations.

It is also that time of the year when the Chapter takes a summer hiatus. We will resume meetings on September 21, when Eric Knapp, US Forest Service, will be our speaker and talk about his research involving local megafires (details TBA!).  I look forward to seeing you all there!

In the meantime, check out the field trips led by David Ledger, and your yards for those summer-blooming native plants.  Be safe and I will see you in September.
~Amy Henderson, President
