Dear Members:
Summer is upon us: an opportunity to seek beautiful and unusual plants at higher and higher elevations. I thoroughly enjoyed putting together the 2022 Lassen Volcanic National Park Wildflower Tour, with the help of several others (see article, Mt. Lassen Car Tour, July 12, 2022).

During the past year, I enjoyed Ken DeCamp’s lectures on Swiss wildflowers (as well as his talk on wildflowers of our own Trinity Alps a few years ago).  I enjoyed propagating and selling native plants at our plant sales, as well as meeting members and other customers.  I enjoyed working with the group on our upcoming new website! (See article, New Shasta Chapter Website!)

Thanks to everyone as we continue to navigate through the pandemic, enjoying as much as we can in spite of it. Stay tuned as we plan for fall and the coming year. Thanks to all of you for everything you do! ~Susan Libonati-Barnes, President
