Secret Garden, by Malou Shannon, was the first-place winner of the photo contest held in conjunction with the 28th Annual Mother's Day Wildflower Show, May 2021.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the 28th Annual Siskiyou County Wildflower Show over Mother’s Day weekend. The virtual wildflower slideshows and the slideshow of wildflower photo contest entries will remain open for viewing.  

We had 41 beautiful photo entries to choose from in our 10th wildflower photo contest. First place went to Malou Shannon for the photo Secret Garden, and there was a 3-way tie for second place between Salena McLaughlin’s Beargrass Flower, Thea Cowsky’s Dandelion and Dewdrops, and Malou Shannon’s Sacred Land. Prizes awarded include winner’s choice from a selection of native plants provided by the Siskiyou Arboretum and Native Plant Nursery.
