This plant identification field trip of approximately 3.2 miles was organized by the Sierra Club Shasta Group and the Shasta Chapter of the California Native Plant Society. Remnants of past gold mining activity were visible along the trail. Walk leader David Ledger identified many native plants, including several types of oak trees.
