Dear Members:
December is here, and I wish all of you wonderful holidays with family and friends. We are receiving rain at last, but I hope you will be able to get out for walks in nature (see our Get Out! articles).
Among many beautiful native plants, toyon is heavy with brilliant berries, and Sonoma sage is making a lush gray-green carpet.
In January, we will begin gearing up for 2023 plant sales. Join us at 11 a.m. on Sunday, January 8, at Shasta College Horticulture area for the first propagation session of the new season. Please let me know if you are planning to come: susan.libonati@gmail.com.
Thanks also to all of you volunteers who have helped so much over the years. Congratulations to the North State Giving team for our online Giving Tuesday (see article, Thank You, Donors!). Looking forward to seeing all of you in 2023.
Best wishes,
Susan Libonati-Barnes,
President
