Waters Gulch Trail
Saturday, March 23, 9 AM

  • Waters Gulch Trail is a botanically diverse trail that never disappoints. It’s a four-mile loop hike of easy to moderate difficulty—mostly fairly level with a few steep sections. We will see a wide variety of plants as we walk through different habitats: oak woodland, chaparral, riparian, and mixed hardwood–conifer forest. And this year we will catch early-spring blooming wildflowers. Wear closed-toe shoes, and bring water and lunch or snacks. Please make sure you have signed both waivers for 2024 (see opening paragraph). Meet at the Mt. Shasta Mall Parking lot near Chase Bank at 9 AM to carpool or caravan to the trailhead. For light rain, bring an umbrella; heavy rain cancels. Dogs OK on leash if you pick up after them.
