We note the passing of long-time Shasta Chapter CNPS member Jim Jewell, of Mt. Shasta.
Jim lived in Siskiyou County for 43 years and was an avid supporter of wildflowers and CNPS. He had his favorite spots for wildflower watching, and loved nature’s details and collecting memories and rocks. His obituary in the Mount Shasta Herald can be read online: James Stephen Jewell.
The family generously suggested that donations to honor Jim be made to our group, for which they have our deep gratitude. The tributes have been coming in, showing just how special and loved he was. He will certainly be missed.
