Shasta Environmental Alliance (SEA) has many field trips coming up that will be of interest to Shasta Chapter CNPS members. Please see SEA’s April 2022 Newsletter for details!

Also, please note that a decision on the Turtle Bay properties encompassing the Civic Auditorium and the Rodeo Grounds will be on the agenda for the April 19, 2022, Redding City Council meeting. (Confirm the day before in case it changes.) Given the absence of environmental review and protection for Turtle Bay’s natural areas, having many people speak out against a sale of these lands now will lessen impacts that a change in ownership would have, if in fact the land is sold to private developers. ~David Ledger, SEA President
