Shasta Environmental Alliance (SEA) has composed an environmental questionnaire for all Redding City Council candidates. The questions concern environmental issues that range from a new tree ordinance for Redding, protecting our riparian areas, increasing our tree canopy, and reducing Redding’s greenhouse gas emissions.

Five of the candidates have answered the questionnaire: Julie Winter, Mark Mezzano, David Robbins, Monique Welin, and Adam McElvain. Jack Munns has not responded. If you would like to see what the candidates have to say regarding local environmental issues, go to the SEA website at www.ecoshasta.org. The questionnaire, along with candidate bios and pictures, is posted under Redding Council Questions & Answers. -David Ledger
