Dear Members~
Although torrential rain has made my trip home from Washington State a minor adventure, I am grateful that it is soothing down the fires in Washington and Oregon. And, I am hoping that all of you close to the fires in California are safe and well, and have seen some blue sky.

I am so proud of Shasta Chapter’s innovations this year! The glorious photos of wildflowers from all our self-guided field trips! Our efforts to continually improve the Matson-Mowder-Howe Celebration Garden of native plants! Our online newsletter! And now, our first ever online Fall Plant Sale, coming right up in October.

Yes, we are selling real plants, of which we have a great variety, thanks to the excellent efforts of the Propagation Team! We are offering species that have never before been offered by us. We are looking forward to a great sale, and finding homes for many wonderful species. I myself am excited about the new plant varieties, and am sure I will be lured in to purchase new plants… Specific details about how to order will be sent soon to all of you. As always, members get a special discount; be sure to order early for best selection.

With best wishes,
Susan Libonati-Barnes, President
