Shasta Chapter CNPS is looking to sponsor two plant biology college students to attend California Botanical Society’s (CalBotSoc) 29th Graduate Student Symposium and 2023 Annual Banquet, slated for March 31 through April 2, at Cal Poly Humboldt in Arcata. The weekend begins Friday evening with a social gathering; Saturday is packed with presentations, a poster session, another social mixer, and banquet & keynote speaker; and Sunday concludes the event with field trips and tours.
The first two eligible college students to reply to this notice will receive free registration to the event, plus $150 for travel expenses. Eligible college students are those who are majoring in a plant biology subject, and who are either attending a college within Shasta Chapter CNPS’s boundaries (Shasta, Siskiyou, Modoc, and Lassen counties), or hail from within Shasta Chapter CNPS’s boundaries.
