Dear Members:
First, I want to thank all of you for participating in ourspring events: from the Spring Plant Sale to last weekend’s Native Plant Giveaway; from serving on the Chapter’s Board to growing native plants in your gardens; from strolling the Sacramento River Trail to hiking in the wilderness. A small but enthusiastic group enjoyed Ken DeCamp’s April presentation about Swiss wildflowers. All these are the many ways of supporting and enjoying California’s native plants.

As you may know, due to water restrictions, Shasta Chapter CNPS’s nursery has had to move away from Shasta College. Profound thanks to Leimone Waite and Shasta College for hosting us there for so many years. We will be considering options for the future home of our native plant nursery.

Keep an eye out for field trips offered this spring and summer. Any many many thanks for all your support. ~Susan Libonati-Barnes, President
