13th Annual Siskiyou County Mother’s Day Wildflower Photo Contest

And the winners are…

All stunning! The top three winners of the 13th Annual Siskiyou County Mother’s Day Wildflower Show Photo Contest, as determined by popular vote, are:

Third place: Sand Lilies 2, by Patty Hood.
Second place: Lewisia cotyledon in the Marble Mountains, by Alaine Arslan.
First place: Flowering Dogwood, Dunsmuir, by Michelle Archer.

Congratulations to our three winners—your photos are gorgeous! These three photographers will be awarded California native plants for their efforts.

Huge thank you to all of the fine photographers who participated in the contest, sharing their awe-inspiring images with us; to all of the many voters who had to make a difficult choice of voting for only three photos; and to USFS, Klamath National Forest, for sponsoring this fun and lively contest.

We will leave the slideshow of the 46 photos, submitted by 17 photographers, live for your enjoyment, until next spring. (Use the arrows on the photo edges—they will only show up when your cursor is on a photo—or the dots below the slideshow to navigate through these beautiful images.)

Until next year! ~Shasta Chapter CNPS
